A Note From Rebecca

My vision is to have my creations as a sort of interior prescription for the home, bringing bright, bold and colourful designs guaranteed to uplift and revitalise. My limited edition art prints and colourful wallpaper and accessories are all about the feel good factor and this is what I strive to achieve within every piece I create.

My Design Process

For my limited edition art prints, and surface pattern designs I first sketch out the initial composition of the painting before transferring this to archival artist paper. Using acrylic paints, I then use a multi-layering technique to build on the colour and depth of each piece. For my surface pattern wallpaper designs, I then transfer this to Photoshop or illustrator to further edit the colouring and placement of each design using a Wacom tablet for further precision. All my punchy slogan and typography prints are hand drawn and painted or created in Photoshop and illustrator.

My Influences and Inspiration

So many different things inspire me, from popular culture, interior design, nature, and life experiences. My artistic influences vary from mid-to-late 17th-century chinoiserie and impressionism to minimalism and abstract expressionism. I have a huge admiration for the greats such as Jean-Michael Basquiat, Franz Kline, Cy Twombly and Roy Lichtenstein, to modern day artists such as Australian artist CJ Henry, Donald Robertson and Yorkshire-born Harland Miller. My love for interior design also plays an integral role into how I see my limited edition art prints and surface patterns working in a room’s final layout. I play careful consideration to scale and proportion with the objective for my designs to give a positive energy and added perspective to whichever room it calls home.
